4 Ways for Young People to Move to Canada
Canada is a popular place for young people who want to travel for cheap and for people who want to move to a safe, wealthy country forever.
The Canadian government knows that young people have different needs when it comes to traveling and moving, so there are many choices for young people who want to visit or move to Canada.
1 – Programs for International Students
Canada is the best place in the world for foreign students to get an education. Not only are some of Canada's universities among the best in the world, but foreign students also get to study in a country that is safe and celebrates its many different cultures. After getting a degree or diploma in Canada, it's much easier to move there forever. This is a great way for people who want to make Canada their permanent home to do so.
The foreign Student program at Canadim helps people who want to study in Canada as a foreign student. People who are eligible are paired with an Educational Counsellor who helps them find a school, get into it, and fill out an application for a study pass. Fill out Canadim's free student exam and we'll get in touch to talk about your choices and see if you qualify for this program.
2 – Working Vacation
The goal of the Working Holiday program is to let young people visit and work in Canada. Youth from countries that take part in the Working Holiday program can get open work permits that let them work in Canada for up to a year. Working Holiday work permits are "open" work permits, so you can live and work anywhere in Canada.
The International Experience Canada program includes this training. To be qualified, you have to be from a country that is part of the IEC and be younger than the age limit. The age limit is different for each country, but it's usually under 30 or 35.
3 – Young Business People
People from other countries can get work experience in Canada through the Young Professionals program. They do this by working for a Canadian company. To join, you must already have a job offer from a Canadian company. If you don't already have a job offer, it might be better to come as an International Student or through the Working Holiday program.
You can get a company-specific work permit through the Young Professionals program. This lets you work in Canada for one boss in one place for as long as you are there.
The International Experience Canada program includes this training. Like the Working Holiday program, you have to be from a country that takes part and be under your country's highest age limit.
4 – Internship with the International Co-op
Students who go to school outside of Canada and want to do an internship can do so through the International Co-op Internship program. As part of their schooling after high school, this program lets foreign students do a job or work placement in Canada. To apply, you must already have a job offer for a work placement or internship that you need to complete your studies.
Successful applicants to the International Co-op Internship program get a work pass that is tied to a certain employer. This means that they have to work for the same employer in the same place for the whole time they are in Canada.
The International Experience Canada program includes this training. So, you must be from a country that is taking part and be younger than the age limit for your country.
